Ein Raum im Dunkeln.
Ein Lichtstrahl.
Ein Klang zur Antwort.
Suchend wagt sich ein ungewöhnliches Trio ins
Dunkel.
Einige wohlgesetzte Pinselstriche, ein
aufleuchtendes Sopransax und ein wachsames Auge treten interaktiv
ins Gespräch und erzeugen ein Klanggebilde, das wie aus dem Nichts
zu kommen scheint.

Expressiveness has nothing to do with headbanging during a
performance. A performer should not try to be someone else in order
to express his expressiveness. Even the tiniest little movement
could sometimes express more than anything else. In this work,
micro-activities of the performer's eyes are captured through a
webcam, triggering everything related to the sound which can be
projected in stereo or diffused to a multichannel system. The visual
data is then projected onto a big screen to amplify its activity;
the visual projection could also be done in two channels. This setup
leads to a performance of someone working in a cubicle, questioning
the aesthetic of expressiveness. The performance is partly
structured and partly improvised.
Stevie J. Sutanto
(b. 1992) is an Indonesian composer/sound artist whose works are
mostly influenced by his surroundings, revealing the impression and
thought he encountered from happenings. His interest in other
kinds of arts emerged since the last year of his study, which
then gave him more expanse to express himself, in addition to
sound.
Stevie currently resides in Linz, Austria, studying Interface
Culture in Kunstuniversität Linz. His works has been performed
on several events including Manila Composers Lab, Pentas
Musik UPH, Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival, Ruang
Suara - Frankfurt Lab, Asian Composers League, Pekan Seni
Media Bandung, Mindzapp5 experimental/noise affair, Holland
Festival, Ars Electronica Festival, Shanghai New Music Week,
Crossroads'17, and WeSA Audiovisual Festival.
Das Stück besteht aus 48 Wörtern aus dem Gedicht der erste Schnee
von Stine Andresen.
Durch die vier Lautsprecher bewegen sich die Wörter in
verschiedener Konstellation und Montage. So kann das Wort als
Sprachmusik von Laut und Bedeutung entstehen.
Ye-Leen Choi
wurde 1987 in Seoul, Südkorea geboren.
Dort studierte sie Komposition an der Sookmyung Women's University.
Danach absolvierte sie ein Masterstudium und advanced Studies bei
Jörg Widmann und Cornelius Schwehr an der Hochschule für Musik
Freiburg.
Des weiteren besuchte sie einen Postgradualen Lehrgang an der
Universität Mozarteum Salzburg.
Zurzeit setzt sie ihre Studien bei Carola Bauckholt fort.
