Angesichts seiner Erfahrung als Komponist für die Medien und seine
jüngste Arbeit für eine internationale Zeichentrickserie, wird der
Vortragender über das Produktionsvorfahren reden, sowie über die
konkrete Arbeit als Komponist in solchen Projekten. Es wird auch
seine Arbeit als Orchestrator für Filmmusikaufnahmen kommentiert.

Gonzalo Díaz Yerro
was born in Spain and got a degree in Composition (with
specialization in Media and Applied Music) at the University of
Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He received his Ph.D.
from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). Gonzalo
has composed music for cartoon series, features,
documentaries, short films, video games, musical theatre,
TV-signations, art videos, a robot (Cozmo), music library projects
and TV spots (Peugeot, CocaCola, Kellogs, McDonalds, Ford,
Anki, etc.). He has recently scored 39
episodes of the animated series Cleo&Cuquin (Nick
Jr. USA, Clan TVE, Televisa, Discovery Kids, Netflix, ...) produced
by Ánima Kitchent. As a concert music composer his works
(for orchestra, chamber music, soloists, ensemble, choir,
concert band, big band, new media, etc.) have been premiered and
performed in Vienna, Madrid, London, New York, Berlin, Ghent,
Zagreb, Tallinn, Las Palmas, San Sebastián, Cuenca, Málaga,
Tenerife, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, etc. In addition, he heads since
2017 the Orchestration Services of the Bratislava Symphony
Orchestra. His orchestrations have also been played by The City
of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and in the Synchron Stage
Vienna. He has been Professor of Composition and Film Scoring at the
Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias (Spain) from 2007 to
2016. Gonzalo currently lives between Vienna and Las Palmas de Gran
Canaria, working as a freelance composer, producer, orchestrator and
conductor.
