What I bring:
- Mac Book Pro M1 (with Dante software installed);
- All cables to connect the laptop to the audio system;
- A Mac Mini M2 for recording (with Dante software installed).
- Headphones pre-amplifier and in-ear headphones.
- Maybe, a camcorder for video recording.
What I need:
- Microphones and cables. The Concertino for clarinet requires two Neumann KM 184 to be performed. Same thing for the 4 Saxophone pieces. The string quartet requires 3 KM 184 and a large diagram microphone for the cello. If somebody can help placing the microphone at the right stage position during the concert, only 3 KM 184 and a large diagram microphone are necessary. If a whole pre-staging is preferred, it’s possible to build three setup for a total amount of 7 KM 184 (2 + 2 + 3) and a large diagram microphone. Each microphone requires a stand and cables to the console. All instrument in every piece are amplified. Direct sound always goes on the front LR channels.
- Output setup. The Concertino requires a 8 channel diffusion (3 front, 2 side, 3 rear). Ch. 1 is the front left, then the routing is clockwise. So, ch. 8 is the side left. The saxophone pieces requires a stereo front diffusion and a third channel for a click track. The acousmatic piece requires 8 channels as well as the clarinet piece (I can try a rendering with a larger amount of loudspeaker according to your system). The string quartet requires two loudspeakers such as Genelec 4060 to be placed on the floor among the musicians.
I would like to have a multichannel
recording (separate tracks for the microphones, stereo merge for
electronics), if possible. Then, would be necessary to connect a
second interface to the Mac Mini.
All the electronics is inside a Max
patcher. I manage the electronics by myself. Somebody for
helping to manage the output mixer would be welcome.
According to the hall, 1 or 2 audio
monitor(s) for musicians would be useful.
