The improvisation is completed by an audio realtime signal processing by fft freeze reverb, classic ring modulation as well as spectral delay together with a multichannel granluar synthesis by a computer performer in mutual inducement with the instrumental player.
A playing ball serves as the performing interface of the computer player.
A R-IoT sensor inside the ball is sending OSC data to a Mac Book with Max udp and audio processing.

The Sonic Arts Ensemble presents a concert in which the performers connect from their homes in several countries, presenting music and video to honor Earth Day. Our program consists of 2 pieces of collaboratively pieces:
(1) Quartet/Trio - Musicians in Austria and the United States
(2) Octet/Sextet (Music for the changing of seasons in two hemispheres) - Argentina and various parts of the US.
Sonic Arts Ensemble
Founded by Marc Ainger and Ann Stimson, the Sonic Arts Ensemble seeks to collectively and individually extend traditional instruments and modes of performance into new, imaginative realms of action and interaction. Relationships between the real and the imagined are re-imagined through sound. The current ensemble includes an international combination of participants that include Atelier Avant (Andreas Weixler and Se-Lien Chuang - connecting from Austria); Fede Camara Halac and Berenice Llorens (connecting from Argentina); and the remainder from throughout the United States.

Der GIK ist die Grazer Adaption der vom 2016 verstorbenen Marco Eneidi seit 2005 etablierten, kuratierten Improvisationsabende im Wiener Celeste. Seit Januar 2017 konnte sich diese immer am letzten Montag des Monats stattfindende Reihe, aufgrund zahlreicher illustrer Gäste und einem höchst diversen aber kohäsiven Feld aus Musiker*innen und Publikum, zu einem neuen Dreh- und Angelpunkt für improvisierte, zeitgenössische und experimentelle Musik in Graz etablieren.
Der Fokus liegt dabei auf dem sozialen Akt kollektiver, musikalischer Echtzeitkomposition und dessen intrinsischer Risikopraxis. Eine besondere Stärke des GIK ist die Synergie verschiedenster stilistischer Praxen und Zugänge unter gleichzeitiger Schaffung eines wohlwollenden Umfelds für Begegnung und Austausch. Ein breites Netzwerk aus Teilnehmer*innen und Vertreter*innen mit starken Verbindungen zur KUG und der internationalen freien Szene bestätigen und konsolidieren die Signifikanz dieser Plattform für das genrebefreite Klangexperiment.

ONE: Mexican-born bass player Ivan Cruz Contreras specializes in free improvisation. His latest work, awakenings, consists of a series of videos with which he explores audiovisual media combined
with free improvisation in an audiovisual introspective journey through the life of an artist who shows his discomfort dealing with loss, lack of control and emotions.

FOUR: Se-Lien Chuang und Andreas Weixler aka Atelier Avant Austria haben sich der improvisierten Musik, Komposition und Computermusik verschrieben. Seit Jahrzehnten dem Grazer STIO und V.NM verbunden sind sie begeisterter Originalteil der Szene. Gemeinsam mit Yvonne und Harald Hofmeister bilden sie eine weitere Facette des „Double Fancy“ - Interaktion Paare im Leben und der Kunst auf der gemeinsamen Bühne.
Die abstrakten Farbspiele der audioreaktiven „Microvisuals“ des Motiondesigner, Illustrator und Grafikdesigners Peter Hutter sind das visuelle Pendant und eine harmonische Ergänzug der Improvisationskunst der Duo- und Quartett-Acts.
